If we had been able to keep the ring, we would have had stats like 3/2/2 IMO
=)
I don't know if we'll get another ability (in case the 2 sensei rumor is
true), or maybe being able to attach any sensei, ignoring clan limitations
(who knows ?) ; being able to attach 2 sensei could lead to very potent
decks, with the good combos, even if I can't see the ultimate one at the
moment (Shoju + Yoshi slooooows honor quite a bit, though). Let's see what
comes out of F&S ...

As for the monk strategy at S@M, the possibilities are :
1/ Enlightenment : very fast, but now often metagamed against. You can't
always prevent a Doom of the Brotherhood ... You won't have the advantage of
surprise you would have had one year ago - don't plan your entire deck
around Finding the Harmony, there are quite a number of cards that'll screw
you in that case.
2/ Military : the other strong way to go, and more surprising than
enlightenment. You could play a Water Monk ETH, for instance, boosts/free
followers, Yoshun, Maseru, Shioda, ... ; I don't know how it would fare, but
I don't think it would be so ridiculous.
3/ Honor : the least powerful way, now that honor has been so reduced ;
Shioda, Wayan, Temple to Shinsei would make the basis of the deck.

If I were to choose a deck (I won't have to, there's no S@M in this country
...), I'd go with military (mainly to change from enlightenment - I'd say in
the current environment, enlightenment and military are about as powerful,
if you take into account the metagaming - of course, this depends where you
play), supposing you want to win. Why would you want to win BTW ? For monks
to lose a personality ? ;) Baah, we monks don't care about this concept
of seppuku and assisting Hitomi ! ^_^

I've replied to these 2 posts previously, and they've been sent to a list
called Edge, located at the-edge@flwyd.dhs.org ; would anyone know why this
happened ??? I just hit the reply button (and nearly got flamed by an angry
list reader ;) ) ^_^

The same happened to me. It seems that when you hit "reply", it sends it to
the edge.

Gen, kenku monk * Kolat>>

I can tell you the immediate and superficial "why" of it. On the second
line of this message is the "Reply to" address from the message you _just_
sent, Gen. It would appear that this list has had its "Reply" address
changed. This needs to be remedied, before we "swamp" this Edge with the
not-so-prolific mail on this list of late. Who's the List Magistrate?

"A lone Mantis stood in the window; I do not know that any of the heroes of
that day saw him, save myself. He was strong, but he bore the scars of many
battles. His eye was patched, but his bow-string shone with crystal fire,
and his arrow gleamed with the light of the sun itself. He leveled his bow
to take the final shot ... but the Darkness was too deep, and he lowered his
bow, cursing. And even now, I am not sure where his aim had rested: on the
Moon, or upon my Master's heart...." - Toku, Champion of the Monkey, Fifth

Okay, I admit it. I'm a moron.

The last few replies to brotherhood messages got sent to the wrong list
(damn you, copy/paste!). Replying should work just fine now, but as a general
rule, you should always make sure your To: field is going someplace sensible.

You can see any messages you missed (in digest form) at
